Round table: Mercury issues in Armenia and country priorities

A round table was organized in the Yerevan Aarhus Center on the 28th of June, 2013. Participated 16 people from the ministries, scientific institutions and NGOs.  Presentations were followed by the discussions. Addressed topics were:  policy context and ongoing activities of global and regional organizations and NGOs to address mercury pollution; current knowledge with regard to the risk of releases of mercury to the environment; potential pollution prevention measures, control technologies and outreach strategies and Minamata Treaty.
